We're not a political blog, and rarely post the hot button politics of the moment.  But sometimes you 'gotta do what you gotta do'.

In the case of the death of Senator Edward Kennedy (D), there are two basic opinions.

1) Boston Globe - McCain: Kennedy 'always kept his word'

• "Senator John McCain of Arizona, the Republican presidential nominee"
• "Well, there's one thing that I think that has epitomized the Kennedy family, and that is service the country, and a country above one's own self-interest. Ted Kennedy, I think, epitomized that service to the country. He had a very heavy burden of an incredible tradition to carry on. He shouldered it, he became an institution within an institution. And all of us will not only miss him, but perhaps maybe try to carry on his legacy of reaching across the aisle and getting things done for the American people. We need this now more than ever before."

2) oldspartantrader eBay PowerSeller

• eBay Stores Discussion Board - A criminal passed last night
• Excerpts:

At this point we would say that 'these are not our comments', and to 'post your comments on the appropriate thread'.  Only sometime after 2:14 PM PST eBay deleted the thread, and most likely issued a Pink Slap.  Typically eBay will cause a thread to vanish, because the post shows eBay in a bad light or is considered by eBay to be offensive.

Since like fellow PowerSellers Marty (clact) and itspostingtime, oldspartantrader is considered a leader on the eBay Stores Discussion Board, you might wonder what gives?
