Being the curious* type we wondered what were the facts behind the comments on purported new eBay Diamond seller ideeli. 

Here's some of what we found.

On 7 May 2009 the ideeli eBay user ID quietly sprang into existence.

Here's how eBay seller ideeli describes themselves:

Ideeli offers privileged access to the most sought-after fashion, home and beauty products. Ideeli is a shopping community offering luxury brand-name products at 20%-80% off regular prices. All of our items are brand new, and authenticity is 100% guaranteed.

A month later came listings for fashion products, and ideeli's first positive feedback.

Within a span of another month things got interesting.  This short article will cover the feedback portion of 'interesting'.

The answer to the frequently asked question, 'was ideeli feedback removed?', is yes.  We did not find everything, but what was found does support the "yes" answer.

Why the feedback was removed is a question we'll leave to the readers.

This record covers the time period June 24 2009 20:08:30 through August 5 2009.

Except where attributed, screen shots were obtained from the Google cache.  The link to the cache is provided as reference material, but keep in mind a Google cache does not exist forever.  We anticipate that many of the links will be aged out by publication.

Regarding the Negative Feedback.

Reported by coolbeans717:

eBay buyer chatychik4887 bought "NEW Alexis Hudson Twinkle I (Mocha)" #170351642263 on 3 July 2009 15:36:46 PDT (22:36:46 GMT) from ideeli, and left ideeli a Negative feedback.

The indication was the Negative feedback had "DO NOT BUY FROM THEM".

A similar report was made by craftscraftsandcrafts and nostalgicthreads.  The Negative feedback was something to the effect that the 'seller refused to ship to a different address and refunded her payment'.

 
Sometime between July 7 2009 18:25:32 GMT and July 15 2009 22:02:45 GMT, Negative feedback was received by ideeli and removed by eBay.
