The Star Fleet Diplomatic Section arranged for a commemoration of the end to hostilities, formally known as the Dominion War. All sides were to be represented.
Then as a matter of Honor, the Klingons insisted that the fleet responsible for the final invasion be at the ceremony. Ever the tense ally, the Praetor insisted that His invasion fleet also be represented. With much humor Odo lead the Dominion, with Jem'Hadar and Cardassia well represented.
Seeing the possibilities in the assembled powder keg, Star Fleet opted to hold the ceremony at Deep Space Nine. As far as possible from everyone. And send one starship; Souvereign class Bozeman-C, under command of Captain Morgan Bateson.
Dropping out of warp, and late again, Captain Bateson viewed the lights of the starships surrounding DS9.
'About time Morgan' Kira
Before he could respond, the Ori fleet appears before him. And all around him. Blotting out whole sections of background stars.
Soon knowing about this, the assembled in the meeting room stood. Save one. Before they could speak, the sound of Odo clearing his throat could be heard.
