While waiting for your chat to begin, you can start typing in your question. To help us address your questions as quickly as possible, please include your email address, eBay User ID and any other pertinent information such as item numbers, error messages, etc. (if available). We may also require your name, address and phone number for verification purposes. Your entries will become visible to the agent once they have joined the chat. Thank you for your patience. joh**: When is the search postage calculations going to be corrected? Are you going to refund listing fees if not corrected soon, or extend the length of auctions to make up for time that the shipping calculation was broken? joh**: item # 330118696188, 330118697055, 330118703319, 330118710327, 330118710913 are all showing wrong shipping price. Several others were wrong also, I had to revise item from calculated to fixed shipping prices. Your chat session has started.. Britany N.: Welcome to eBay Live Help! My name is Britany. One moment while I review what you've written. joh**: hello Britany N.: Hmm, I'm receiving the correct shipping information when I visit these listings. Can you give me some more information about what is occurring or when you get this error? joh**: click on view sellers other items and look at the last 5 all $6.05 then click on one and you get the right price. Problem is when buyers see the wrong $6.05 price in search they will never click on and get the right price. joh**: I reported this a day ago. Britany N.: Okay. One moment. Britany N.: Our technicians are currently working to correct this. I don't have an estimated time of fix on this, but I have assured that your report was received. joh**: I have lost over 1 days selling time on several items, some were so close to the end that I changed from calculated to fixed, just to try to get some bids in the short remaining time. joh**: Well you have not answered my origional question. joh**: When is the search postage calculations going to be corrected? Are you going to refund listing fees if not corrected soon, or extend the length of auctions to make up for time that the shipping calculation was broken? Britany N.: We do not have an estimated time of fix. As the calculator is working within the listing, we will most likely not refund the listing fees for the items, nor extend durations for the items. joh**: Can I speak wit a SUPERVISOR Please! Britany N.: I currently do not have a supervisor available, but I can forward your concerns and have them email you regarding this situation. joh**: Can I report eBay to PayPal and describe the service SNAD and get a paypal refund on my ebay fees. joh**: You do know what SNAD stands for? Britany N.: I'm not certain if they would be able to create a refund request, but I'm sure you could create a request to PayPal. Britany N.: I do not, no. joh**: SNAD satnds for signifacantly Not as Described. Britany N.: Good to know. Britany N.: Was there anything else I could help you with today? joh**: When the service is showing the wrong postage, and no one bids on your items because of it. That is bad service and the seller should be compensated for it. joh**: When will a supervisor be available. I will wait. Britany N.: I don't have an estimated time, actually. They are currently in a meeting. joh**: I am very upset with the quality of service from ebay on my calculated shipping items, and the fixed price items I had to change from calculated. joh**: I will wait. Britany N.: Okay. joh**: I am very Upset and disapointed with eBay right now and want to make sure that it is expressed to a supervisor. Britany N.: I will definitely be able to forward your concerns to my supervisor, but you are welcome to wait as well. joh**: If I advertized the items in a newspaper and they made a mistake on the shipping the newspaper would give an instant relist of the item or a refund no questions asked. I wish ebay understood customer service, and that the customer (the sellers and buyers) but mostly the sellers pay ebays fees, should not suffer for ebay's mistakes. Britany N.: I understand your frustration. joh**: Do you understand that the party that makes the mistake (in this case ebay) should be the party that pays for the mistake not the customer. joh**: Why should sellers pay for ebays mistakes. Britany N.: Please understand that eBay can't guarantee the amounts given by the shipping calculator. We provide this information only as a free service to our members. joh**: If I made a mistake on my listings, I would have to pay for it not the buyer. Britany N.: We do understand that there is currently an issue with shipping prices in search and are working to correct this. joh**: It is a free service included with the purchase price of a listing. joh**: If that free service causes the listing service to become worthless, then why should I pay for the listing. joh**: If listed something with a free service "free shipping" and the item was broke during shipping, both ebay and paypal would not allow the excuse " the shipping was free? what do you expect? sorry you item is broken too bat. joh**: too bad joh**: thst is what you are telling me. I just does not make sence.. Britany N.: Again, I do understand your concerns. I can forward these to my supervisor for you, but they are not currently available at the moment. If you would like to continue waiting in chat for my supervisor, you are welcome to do so. However, I do need to concentrate on other members at this time. joh**: I told you that I will wait. joh**: As long as you keep telling me too bad the item was broken in shipping, what do you expect the shipping was free. I will keep responding to your too bad. Britany N.: One moment while I transfer you to my Supervisor. joh**: ok Please wait while you are transferred to another agent. Brigham: Hello, thank you for using eBay's Live Help! My name is Brigham. I am a Supervisor with eBay PowerSeller/Stores support. One moment please as I review your question. joh**: ok Your chat has ended. Please click the Quit button |

If eBay and PayPal Fees were not so high, it is a discussion that would have never happened. But they Are very high, and on some items I can not sell on ebay any more because of the High Fees, so I wish the fees were low enough that it did not matter, and I could make more on the lower priced items than eBay and PayPal do. |

Though I am still (yes it is May 11) using the old sell form, it is my understanding that a listing will not post with the new one unless either fixed or calculated shipping is selected (i.e. one cannot just leave it out). Since I do not have a handling charge, I always just invoiced for the exact amount after the auction ended. Never had a problem..(still don't until they take the page down). I used the shipping calculator once. It was a glitchy day and everything was posted as $1.00. If you sell an item via eBay express...the "calculator" used there is charging ZERO for all those 'immediate payment required listings'. What's up with this? |

Chances are your 'supervisor' was not actually a supervisor. When I worked for a major phone company (411 - don't laugh, someone had to do it!) request were made to speak with supervisors. The standard reply was that they were in a meeting. There was no actual supervisor for our office, only an office manager and she worked our office and one other. Mostly the other. At any rate, we would just have regular operators that would rotate on a weekly basis and 'play supervisor' if it was really needed. It saved the company tons of money by not having to hire real supervisors to work shifts 24/7. So, your supervisor just could have been a nobody also. JAV It's all about the money. |

And Since I am a PowerSeller, this was supposed to be "Premium Support". |
