Ebay Store Sales Off 75% - Anyone Else ?????

Since Ebay changed Search, my store sales are off 75% and I am in danger of losing my Power Seller status. It all started recently when Ebay "tweaked" the search feature.
Anyone else seeing this kind of decline??????
Why are they doing this to us? My ebay bill was almost $400 in March and now it is barely $100. If all store sales are down significantly it has to be hurting them financially! don't they get it????
Tell us horror story! Misery loves company!

I have not had one sell this week and I was running 17 autions with no watchers. Down you say?

Yep, you are preaching to the choir- same here, down by 70% on my Power Seller ID- Ran 35 Auctions last week, typical loss leaders- drove little traffic to my store- few sales. Right now I have 3 FP finishing up tonight- no watchers. But I did have three items purchased by higher feedback buyers- you know the type- the kind that KNOW stores are out there and will persevere with the BS Ebay calls search, until they find what they want, by SEARCHING STORES.
I am not sure what I am going to start tonight auction wise- I sold all my best store traffic driving stuff for pennies on the dollar last week- Core is carp for prices- I make my money in my store. And so does Ebay. With so little traffic being driven to my store by the auctions and FP, I might just forgo the auctions and see what happens- it will save me $$ as with 99 cent starts on auctions, I lost $$. Most of that 99 cent stuff goes for 8-30 in my store.....when the search works.

I've had 3 sales this week and that is two more than last week, and 1 more than the week before. This is terrible. I keep waiting for it to end but it doesn't look promising. I used to average about 60 sales a month.
And I had to refund to one buyer today because I couldn't find the item. I tore my house apart and about went crazy, but finally had to give up. It really hurts because sales are so bad now.

I only sold one auction from the .20 listing sale, and one from the .10 gallery sale. All the others went unsold. Core stinks. It even stinks for advertising my store.

I'm pretty new at this, but I started doing well in the beginning, a couple months ago. Now, I have no watchers, only 2 sales in the last 3 wks or so. It's been so dead.
I have received only a few feedback since they started stars, and I don't have any... It used to come in pretty regular.
My DH usually does quite well and he can't get anything to sell in core.
This is the worst that we have seen it.
More people need to add to this post so we can see how bad it really is.
My misery needed some company. Thanks for the vent..

My sales were down the two weeks following the postal increase as we had taken down listings, getting them up and had a week of very little core running. This last week has been back to normal levels.

Me too... that's actually why I was looking around the boards. I was wondering if I was the only one tanking sales... Also, my store visitors have also dropped. I know its all related but is it really the search function in eBay? I guess it depends on what you sell but I seem to remember that sales go down as it gets closer to Summer due to vacations, etc...

If you sell then you have sales cycles. My worst months are always April and May. Sales start back in June and rise steadily through the end of the year. That's been a consistent cycle for our business. After a year on Ebay and Amazon we've found it to be as true in those venues as it is on our website.

Awful sales. Normally at this time of the month, I have about 60 sales. So far, only 32 sales - down almost 50% from the last three months. Thank God I'm selling more elsewhere or this would really suck :(
Is Ebay finally tolling the death knoll do you think because I haven't heard anything positive on these boards for weeks - just more and more sellers complaining and more and more sellers leaving.

My traffic reports for front page views are only tiny blips---barely show; must be less than 10. I've never had that happen before. I used to get 60 a day on the last graph. Now I'm only getting that number on the first graph and I used to get 300. During SIS I got 600 visits a day.

This is awful! I've only had 4 sales since June 1!!!!!:O When you shut the store down....how long will it be available to open up again???? July and August are usually SLOW as it is and if it's like this for May and June what's in store for us later?

Geez I'm Glad I bailed when I did. I really feel for all of you that rely on ebay for income.
I have never seen a company go so far out of it's way to screw it's customers. I'm sure the reps at ebay live are pouring sugar in all the sellers gas tanks too.

I feel bad for all of us, but particularly for the new store owners if they entered this period with such high hopes and expectations. It's an anxious time when you take the plunge, and to get established, and as weeks go by without a sale or a piddly amount, they may have more self doubt than those of us who have seen it go up and down. The postal rate really bites more than ever, the search changes, and these horrible, horrible glitch after glitch (loading pics, doing revisions, you name it) episodes sure don't help!
I can't understand why people are going to eBay Live. Sounds like it never accomplishes a thing, that the big whammies come AFTER false reassurances and nothing really comes out of the sessions. It's a marketing gala, nothing more, from the sound of it.
Regarding sales- listed about 22 the past two weeks, didn't bother putting them back in the store if they didn't sell immediately- that unmotivated! Of the 15, I sold 5 I think. So 1/3rd. I just sold a bigger bisque item tonight that was in my store, and sure enough, it was a repeat customer.
I'm working on St Elsewhere store material and would recommend if you haven't, start looking around for a good shopping cart/registrar/host. It can take quite a while to redo your material to fit other templates, so don't wait until you want to start selling elsewhere to reformat all your material and bail out of the 'bay!
