I keep my computer on all day going on different sites. When I search eBay my cooling fan on my computer comes on every 20 minutes or so and stays on about 30 seconds. When I get off of the search it never comes on. What the heck eBay! Oh by the way, the search pages stink like a skunk in a garbage can in the summer.

Same here - I actually had to reboot to make it stop yesterday after searching on the Playground for a couple of hours. This also happens if I leave a Tab (firefox) open by mistake with an Express search on it.
Even reloading Selling Manager sure makes it kick in high gear. No other sites do this - Amazon, Overstock, etc.
I installed Speed Fan just to make sure - and it's only Playground, Selling Manager and Express for me.
Does anyone know the technical reaadon why?
